Real Madrid came to Warsaw to play their champions league match against Legia Warszawa. As I knew my chances to catch them would be low, I brought with myself only a Real Madrid jersey. The team didn’t go through the airport’s terminal, they went through the VIP section where no fans could enter. I tried to catch them under their hotel. When I arrived under their hotel, their were around 300 fans waiting outside. I knew I had no chance to get them from the outside. I had to go inside the hotel, but only the hotels guests were welcomed in. I reserved an table in the hotel’s restaurant and casually walked in. When the team started to walk into the hotel, I stood in the lobby and waited for them to approach me. There was a barricade, so I couldn’t approach to the players. Ronaldo signed mine my shirt. When I asked for a picture, he waves and walked away. I also got Zidanes and Kroos signature on the shirt when the team arrived in the hotel. No one else signed. I tried to catch the team one more time when they would leave for training. The security asked my friend to go out of the hotel as he didn’t have the room. He argued back that he was an client as he paid in the restaurant and the bar. After couple minutes of arguments with the hotels security, 3 security guard and 5 police officers came in and escorted my friend out. I was sitting in the restaurant waiting for the team to come down. When the team did come down, they didn’t sign anything before training. The security later also asked me to go out of the hotel. After the teams training, Emilio Butragueño came out to the fans waiting outside the hotel and started signing for every person which asked. No one else from the team signed except Daniel Carvajal. He came to the fans and signed for almost everyone. He took my marker and said that he would come back to me. I got a signature from Butragueno and Carvajal, and a picture with them. In the end of the day, I got 5 signatures on the shirt. Much better than what I expected, especially an autograph from Ronaldo and Zidane. A great success from Real madrid.
