In person adventure with Iceland national football team

The team came to Poland for a friendly match. It was another chance for me to hunt some autographs and I did so. Though, the team didn’t had many big names, I decided to print out 3 A4 pictures with the teams logo on it. Everyone would be able to sign on it, thats an advantage of printing a A4. The team didn’t go through the airport, as I expected to. Usually, national teams and big teams just go from the plane straight to their hotel. I decided to go to their hotel during the match day. They had a match at 9, so they would go out 2 hours earlier to the stadium. I arrived to their hotel at 6. I did had to go to their bar and buy a drink, or else the security would kick me out of the hotel. Many other fans which also wanted to collect autographs were kicked out of the hotel. The hotel was packed with security. I got to stay because i did buy a drink. I was quite lucky to stay in, as outside it was freezing ( -1 degrees). At 7 o’clock the team started to go down stairs. I had the chance to get a couple autographs until the security told me to go out. I did get a chance on that day to get a picture with the teams star, Sigurdsson. In total i got only 12 autographs on that day. The players were in a rush to go to the match, so not everyone stopped. The police escorted the team to the stadium for the match. Everyone in the team was very nice. They even said sorry when they couldn’t give autographs because they were rushing.

The next day, I decided to go again. I was expecting them to leave the hotel for their flight at 11. I went at 9 to get a couple more autographs filling my A4. When I arrived in their hotel, the team was already eating breakfast. I sat in their bar and waited for the team to go out. Players slowly came out of from their breakfast and would always pass though the bar where I was sitting. I got a couple pictures with the players and a couple of autographs. I was too late, some players already left their breakfast earlier. The players did carry shoes with them while eating and a small bag. I asked one of the players where will they go later. They said they will go training and then fly to Slovakia. I waited in the bar for them, waiting for more players to go out for training. At 12, unexpectedly a bus arrived in the hotel and players came out of it. I looked so shocked. I didn’t run fast enough to catch them. They all went to the elevator. I was really stunned, because i didn’t even see them walking to the bus. They must have somehow take the backdoor. i didn’t waited for them more, as I did get everyone I wanted. In total I got 34 autographs in 2 days. A total of 4 hours. The other 2 A4s are going for trade or sell...
